Research Assistant
Jacob is joining the BATLab and iTech teams as a Research Assistant. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, minoring in Chemistry and Spanish for the Medical Professions. Before joining the BATLab, Jacob earned a Master of Science in Global Health from Duke University where he helped to develop and evaluate a mobile phone application to support community health volunteers during cervical cancer screening in Western Kenya.
At the BATLab, he hopes to gain a better understanding of how mobile technologies and related behavioral interventions can be leveraged to improve health outcomes and affect change. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys completing woodworking projects and watching TED talks.
