Julie has a passion for clinical research, especially with adolescents living with HIV or who identify as transgender or gender nonconforming. She enjoys the detailed activities required in conducting research, including submitting applications for funding, converting research science into a protocol and then into a achievable live study, training study coordinators, collecting data that can be successfully analyzed, conducting quality assurance activities, and most importantly, ensuring that participants are protected and respected.
She is incredibly thankful to all of the research participants who volunteer to participate in studies and share their lives and valuable time with researchers. Her goal is for all research to have value that can lead to positive change.
