Project Coordinator

Nathan Dorcey A. Johnson is an out, autistic trans man, and native Houstonian. He currently works for Baylor ATN as a Research Coordinator. His work there includes being the site lead for TechStep, a trans centered protocol. Passionate about community organizing, he has dedicated the past few years to being of service to the Houston trans community. This journey began as a Research Assistant in the Transgender Health Lab at Nathan’s alma mater, the University of Houston and continued as a volunteer with Gender Infinity. Gender Infinity is a local 501c3 dedicated to promoting justice, equity, and hope in the celebration of infinite gender possibilities. He now sits on the Board of Directors for Gender Infinity and is responsible for most of the organization’s youth programming. He also remains actively involved with the UH LGBTQ Resource Center and recently began co-facilitating their trans/non-binary discussion groups. Nathan has also had the honor of speaking on many local panels, and has presented work he’s done on Autism in the trans community at such conferences as the International WPATH Conference, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and Gender Spectrum.
