Steven joined our team as a Research Assistant in August 2018. He graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications – after which he worked in strategic planning at a global advertising agency.
Subsequently, Steven spent three years in Japan – providing learning support at an international primary school in Tokyo. He was a founding member of the school’s mental health and wellbeing working group and introduced and implemented a mindfulness education intervention within the primary school’s social emotional learning curriculum. Steven’s M.A. thesis focused on implementation science factors underlying mindfulness interventions in schools.
Steven continues to explore setting level effects research and youth mental health at PRIDE. His current role is Project Manager on the Young Men’s Health Project: a national comparative effectiveness trial of a four-session HIV risk reduction intervention for young gay and bisexual men, delivered at community-based organizations.
