Co-Investigator

Dr. Susan Gillespie has taken care of children with HIV infection both in the United States and globally. In her work with the Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), Dr. Gillespie worked in Zambia, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya and Tanzania.
Dr. Gillespie also provides pediatric primary care at San Jose Clinic, a clinic for high quality, comprehensive medical care to uninsured adults and children in the Houston area. Her interests include medical education, adolescent and youth HIV/AIDS and care for underserved populations.
A graduate of Northwestern University, she completed her medical and graduate school training through the Medical Scientist Training Program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her pediatric residency training at Washington University, St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
