Research Assistant

Yeng is from Saint Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Biology and a certificate in Asian American studies Emphasis in HMoob American. He comes to us with a background in molecular and neurological research on Zebrafish along with developing pipeline programs for HMoob communities in Wisconsin’s Agricultural systems, he aims to combine medicine with fundamental research. His plan in the future is to reduce maternal health disparities in vulnerable communities like the HMoob community as he aspires to be an Obstetrician/ Gynecologist. In his free time, Yeng enjoys playing Squash, cooking up a meal for friends and family, and staying involved in undergraduate alumni programs like Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity Incorporated and APIA Scholars mentoring programs.
