7Cooper started working at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) in August of 2018. Prior to working at CHOP, Cooper has had experience working with the LGBTQ+ community in a variety of capacities. Most recently, Cooper created initiatives and supported LGBTQ+ students in their journeys at Swarthmore College. They also have worked as an assistant archivist at the GLBT Archives in San Francisco and as a research assistant researching how transgender women of color’s life outcomes are related to poverty and other systematic barriers. Cooper is especially excited to work on this research with iTech and alongside participants whose voices would generally not be uplifted in the medical sphere. Cooper holds a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
