ATN 158: LifeSteps PrEP for Youth has opened enrollment for its pilot RCT in three cities: Atlanta, Boston, and Chicago.
LifeSteps, an evidence-based HIV medication adherence intervention for HIV infected individuals developed by Safren et al., has been adapted for diverse populations, including HIV-infected adolescents in a project led by co-Investigator M. Mimiaga, called “Positive STEPS.” In this adaptation, LifeSteps is adapted to help young men who have sex with men adhere to PrEP.
The pilot RCT will enroll 50 people across three iTech sites, and the intervention will last six months. For more information about the study, click here.
