Dr. Budhwani (she/her) is a Professor at Florida State University College of Nursing (CON), Center of Population Sciences for Health Equity (CPSHE). She was awarded her MPH in Health Care Organization and Policy in 2008 and her PhD in Medical Sociology in 2012. Dr. Budhwani conducts studies to address the causes and consequences of health disparities among stigmatized populations, including young sexual, gender, and racial minorities, that experience adverse health outcomes in resource-constrained settings. Her HIV prevention research is informed by sociological constructs and adopts a multidimensional view of how to address public health and clinical care inequities. Dr. Budhwani is the Site PI for the Adolescent Medicine Trials Network for HIV/AIDS Interventions (iTech and Scale It Up).
