Research Assistant

Matthew (he/him) is a graduate research assistant in the BAT Lab at the Gillings School of Global Public Health where he is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Global Health. Matthew received his B.S. in Biology from Northeastern University. Before joining the BAT Lab, he was a business development specialist at CRDF Global, leading the global health division’s full lifecycle business development including identification and qualification of new opportunities, capture planning, and proposal development for a number of funders including CDC, USAID, and DOS. Previously, Matthew was a program officer with John Snow, Inc. providing financial, administrative, and programmatic support to USAID projects in Ethiopia, Egypt, and Uganda. He is passionate about infectious diseases, sexual health, and LGBTQ+ health.
